2000-W $10 Library of Congress NGC PF 70 UC Anna Cabral
On April 24th, 2000, the United States Mint released its first-ever Bi-Metallic Gold and Platinum coin featuring the Library of Congress.
This is quite a feat for the US Mint to match platinum and gold together to produce a coin. The Library of Congress is the largest Library in the World and holds some of the rarest books in artifacts including most of George Washington’s personal artifacts.
Only 27,652 Proofs were struck, which makes this coin one of the rarest Modern Commemoratives ever minted!
Anna Cabral the 42nd Treasurer of the United States has signed a select few perfectly graded PF 70 coins. Only 28 perfect PF 70 examples exist with her highly sought after signature. This year the coin celebrates its 20th year Anniversary!
